HOMEWORK
Homework assignments will be given periodically only to reinforce what is being taught in class and/or to help students learn the material. Students are encouraged to create flashcards and/or Quizlet study sets, log onto the Home Tutor function of the textrbook, use the activities posted on QUIA, and practice their Spanish OUTSIDE of class frequently in order to learn the target language.
MIDTERM
The midterm exam counts as two assessment grades in the second quarter. (January)
FINAL
The Checkpoint A Final Exam for 8th grade is 1/9th of the student's final average for the course. (June)

EXTRA CREDIT
Please note: Extra credit assignments are not permitted.
HONESTY & INTEGRITY
Plagiarism and/or cheating of any kind is not tolerated. The use of a translator to write sentences in the target language is cheating. All assignments must be written in your own words. Any assignments that are plagiarized and show evident use of a translator as opposed to the material taught in class will be given a grade of zero.
